25 grudnia 2014 r. wchodzi w życie ustawa o prawach konsumenta, która ujednolici prawa kupujących i obowiązki sprzedających z tymi , które istnieją już w całej Unii Europejski. Wszystkie najważniejsze informacje w tym zakresie znajdują się na stronie www.prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl, która stanowi kompendium wiedzy na temat praw i obowiązków producentów i konsumentów. Poniżej prezentowane są najważniejsze zmiany, które wprowadza ustawa:
• obowiązek przedsiębiorców do udzielania pełnej informacji na temat
oferowanych towarów i usług
• prawo konsumentów do żądania od samego początku procesu reklamacji
jednego z czterech roszczeń: naprawy towaru, wymiany rzeczy, obniżenia ceny
lub odstąpienia od umowy (w przypadku, gdy wada jest istotna)
• domniemania istnienia wady w chwili wydania towaru – wydłużenie terminu
z 6 miesięcy do 1 roku
• konieczność uzyskania przez przedsiębiorcę wyraźniej zgody konsumenta na
wszelkie dodatkowe płatności wykraczające poza uzgodnione wynagrodzenie
wynikające z umowy sprzedaży
• wydłużenie prawa do odstąpienia od umowy zawartej na odległość lub poza
lokalem przedsiębiorstwa z 10 do 14 dni.
Ustawa o prawach konsumenta publikowana jest w Dz.U. z 2014, poz. 827.
